About Me

As a sophomore in college, I tore my UCL for the fourth time and was informed by my physician that my baseball career was over.  After medically retiring from baseball, I began to investigate why my career had been cut short and if there was something that I could have done differently to prevent this from happening in the first place.

My curiosity led to my acceptance into the University of Missouri’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program.  During my time in physical therapy school, I became a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist and accepted an internship with the MU Human Performance Institute.  While working my way into an Assistant Trainer position, I was fortunate to get to work with athletes ranging from the grade school ranks all the way to the professional realm.  In addition to coaching athletes, I had the opportunity to train individuals with various medical histories, such as COPD, cancer, diabetes, cerebral palsy and many more.

Following graduation, I spent the next two years working for EXOS, where I rehabilitated and trained athletes from the MLB, NFL, and UFC, in addition to working with our special forces military.  I then returned to the University of Missouri for two years where I collaborated with Mizzou’s baseball, football, track and field, swim and dive, and volleyball teams.

My experiences as both a physical therapist and performance coach have positioned me to not only be able to rehabilitate injured athletes, but to also enhance their athletic performance while mitigating the risk of future injury.

Currenly, I work alongside Taylor Summers at Optimal Movement in St. Louis, Missouri where we offer cash based physical therapy and return-to-play performance training.

We have both had the misfortune, as clients and as physical therapists, of being inside of rehabilitative settings that emphasized volume over quality of care.  We know the frustration of being given cookie cutter programs with no attention to detail.  We are here to change that.  By offering cash-based services, we will be able to provide quality, 1-on-1, individualized care while being transparent about pricing, communicating with you directly, and making sure you are fully prepared to return to your sport prior to discharge.  Stop letting insurance companies dictate your future.  Schedule your appointment today!
